Ellenbrook underground power project
Western Power recently announced that to address the ongoing power supply issues in the Ellenbrook area, a large scale project to replace several kilometres of underground power cable, sections at a time, will be carried out.
Powering Perth's Communities
Both Phase I (to connect a 330 kV transmission line from Wells Terminal to Hacketts Gully in Kalamunda via gantry) and Phase II (to identify a new or existing switchyard for the 330 kV line to connect into) have been deferred due to ongoing review of needs and potential solutions.
Guildford to Southern terminal transmission line
In order to provide additional security to the Western Power transmission network, it has been identified that reinforcement works are required between Guildford Terminal and Southern Terminal.

We are required to provide a 132,000 volt (132kV) transmission line to supply the Water Corporations proposed Southern Seawater Desalination Plant in Binningup.
Kojonup to Albany transmission line
Due to an expected increase in electricity use, the Albany region will need to reinforce transmission systems into Albany.
Mid West Energy Project
The Mid West Energy Project is one of the most important infrastructure projects in Western Australia. It will provide the capacity to meet increasing demand for electricity and facilitate the connection of power generators to the network.
Muja to Wellstead transmission line
Western Power plans to construct a 300 km 330,000 Volt transmission line between Kojonup and a new magnetite mine at Wellstead.
Northern Terminal to Hadfields transmission line
To allow for the increased energy demand in the Bassendean and Bayswater areas, Western Power is planning to reinforce the electricity network.

Bunbury-Busselton-Margaret River Project Suite
Western Power has identified a need to reinforce the electricity network in the South West coastal area from Bunbury to Busselton and on to Margaret River and is developing a 25 year supply strategy to ensure the ongoing provision of a safe, secure and reliable supply of electricity to the area.
