While tall trees and powerlines don’t mix, there are many smaller trees and shrubs that look attractive and won’t cause power interruptions.
By selecting appropriate plants, you can reduce or even remove the need for pruning, saving both time and money.
A general rule is to select species that do not grow higher than five metres in urban areas and no greater than three metres near transmission lines and in bushfire risk areas.
